Sweet lips are also called Plectorhynchinae. They are part of the order Perciformes and prefer rocky shores and coral reefs as habitat. Their length varies between 35cm and 1m. They live in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The males produce during courtship drum-like sounds, by enabling the swim bladder using special muscles to vibrate.
