Barbels and Barbie are the carp family, which is part of the order of carp-like turn and includes about 2500 species. They live mainly in the tropical and subtropical areas of Africa and Asia, but are also found in Europe. A typical feature of the barbs are the barbels in the corners, which act as a tactile organ. The vast majority has a scaleless head and in most species the males are more colorful than the females. The size of our Barbels varies between 8mm and 15cm. They are lively group fish and prefer oxygen-rich water with temperatures between 24 to 27 ° C.
