The genus of the rabbit fish or foxface fish is part of the order of Perciformes. They feed on algae and prefer a habitat with coral reefs, seagrass and algae fields. The rabbit fish are from Indo-Pacific and the Mediterranean, and are between 20 and 45cm long. Their coloration is often colorful and beautiful integrated network-, point- or meandering pattern. However, the coloration changes at night or in dangerous situations. The herbivorous animals require a predominantly plant-based diet and are considered easy to maintain.
